I checked directly with Dexter, and from what I saw they have a measurement - taken from center of spring eye to center of spring eye - of 24.8", which is the same as our 24-7/8" measurement for the 7-Leaf Double-Eye Spring for 8,000-lb Trailer Axles # DX74XR.
The only reference to 25.25" I saw was from a different retailer, and maybe they were talking about the overall length, but it is not the correct center eye to center eye length. As for the U-bolts, yes, a 7k Dexter axle and the... view full answer...
